About the Authors
Daniela Franz
Daniela Franz is as a PhD student in the Helmholtz Young Investigators Group TEAM at the GFZ in Potsdam. She analyzes the exchange of CH4 and CO2 between lentic fresh waters and the atmosphere.
Franziska Koebsch is Fellow of the Helmholtz Postdoc Programm and part of the Helmholtz Young Investigators Group TEAM at the GFZ in Potsdam. She works in a coastal fen in Northeast Germany and investigates whether rewetting re-establishs the natural greenhouse gas sink function of peatlands. Her special interest is on processes that control the methane emissions from ecosystems.
Katrin Kohnert is a PhD student in the Helmholtz Young Investigators Group TEAM at the GFZ in Potsdam. In her PhD project she analyzes methane release from Arctic permafrost regions in Alaska, Canada and Siberia.
Torsten Sachs is the leader of the Helmholtz Young Investigators Group TEAM and has spent the past 10 years working on methane emissions from Arctic tundra and permafrost landscapes.
