What is your qualifying background?

I have a bachelor’s degree in marine science from China, a master’s degree in earth science and engineering from Saudi Arabia, and a PhD in earth system science from Germany.

How would you describe your working daily routine?

My work involves a lot of data analyzing, which means it’s pretty easy to find me sitting in front of the computer in my office. If not, try again in 5 minutes 🙂

What has been your biggest success so far?

As young scientists, many would say the biggest success so far is the PhD defense. Well, for me it would be the enrollment of my PhD. My decision of pursuing a PhD came all of a sudden and I was in a very difficult and complicated situation before the application. I’m happy I finally made it and it opened a new chapter of my life.

Do you have a big goal?

To be honest, I don’t have a big goal. I like to keep everything easy and live every day simple.

Do you have any personal distinctive mark?

My personal mark would easily be travelling and basketball. As a member of VfL Geesthacht, I even have a silver medal from the Cup-Finals-2019 of the Basketball-Verband Schleswig-Holstein.
