Staatl. Gepr. Wirtschaftsassistentin – fremdsprachlicher Bereich (Englisch/Französisch)
Ich bin seit 2007 Assistentin in der Gruppe “Marine Bioanalytische Chemitare” und gehöre damit zum Institut für Küstenforschung, Biogeochemie im Küstenmeer. Am HZG bin ich allerdings schon seit 1995 (mit Unterbrechungen) tätig. Davor habe ich bei dem Medizinproduzenten Helm AG/Rotexmedica in Trittau als Abteilungssekretärin gearbeitet und später als Sekretärin der Geschäftsführung bei Siemens/Alstom (Elektronik in Windkraftanlagen in aller Welt) in Hamburg.
Certified Economy Assistant – English/French
Since 2007 I have been assistant in the Group “Marine Bioanalytical Chemistry” and belong to the Institute of Coastal Research, Biogeochemistry in Coastal Seas. Even more I am with HZG since 1995 already (with short breaks). Before I have worked for the medical producer, Helm AG/Rotexmedica in Trittau as secretary and later as assistant of the managing directors at Siemens/Alstom in Hamburg (Electronic in wind energy systems all over the world).
Wie sieht ein typischer Arbeitstag aus? / How would you describe your working daily routine?
- „Hast du mal, kannst du mal, machst du mal, weißt du, wo/wer/wann?“
- „Guten Morgen, Leute. Lasst mich erstmal kurz die Mails checken, danach kann ich die Welt retten.“ 🙂
Es gibt natürlich Alltagsroutine, Korrespondenz, Telefonate, E-Mails, Reiseplanung, Anträge stellen, aber es warten jeden Tag neue Aufgaben und neue Herausforderungen auf mich. Ich unterstütze die Mitarbeiter bei allen Arbeiten, die so anfallen. Wir funktionieren perfekt im Team und haben dabei auch noch Spaß. Am liebsten organisiere ich Dinge. Ich habe gerne alles im Griff und in Ordnung. Ich erinnere an Termine, Veranstaltungen und die Geburtstage aller KollegInnen, auch die der ehemaligen. Unser Retreat jedes Jahr wird von mir organisiert, ich darf die Vorarbeiten für die Agenda erledigen und dann natürlich Protokoll führen.

- “Good morning. Let me first check my E-Mails, afterwards it is time to save the world.” 🙂
Of course, there is the normal daily routine like correspondence, telephone conversations, E-Mails, travel planning, submit applications, but every day there are new tasks and new challenges waiting for me. I assist my colleagues in all works that will have to be done. We are a perfect team and even have fun at work. Organizing things is what I like most. I enjoy having all under control and in good order. I have an eye on dates, meetings, events and the birthdays of the colleagues, even the former colleagues. Every year I organize our retreat, do the pre-planning of the agenda und write the protocol.
Was war Ihr bisher größter Erfolg? / What has been your biggest success so far?
Die Organisation des 24. ICP-MS-Anwendertreffens 2014 am HZG hat unglaublich Spaß gemacht. Es war sehr arbeitsintensiv, aber in den vier Tagen vor Ort mit einem schönen Rahmenprogramm haben wir zufriedene 150 Gesichter gesehen. Auch die Unterstützung der österreichischen KollegInnen vor Ort in St. Anton bei der European Winter Conference on Plasma Spectrochemistry 2017 mit 4.000 Teilnehmern war ein Highlight. Und als nächstes hatten wir dann in 2018 unser DAAS-Doktorandenseminar zu organisieren. Dies ging über 3 Tage und war für mich ebenfalls ein Highlight.
The organization of the 24th ICP-MS-User meeting 2014 at HZG has been incredible fun. It has been a lot of work but in the four days of the event we have seen 150 happy people. The assistance for our Austrian colleagues in St. Anton at European Winter Conference on Plasma Spectrochemistry 2017 with 4,000 participants was a highlight. Next thing to be organized had been 2018 the DAAS-PhD seminar that had last 3 days and had been a highlight, also.
Was ist Ihr großes Ziel? / Do you have a big goal?
Ich feiere in diesem Sommer meinen 57. Geburtstag. Dazu wünsche ich mir sehr, dass ich bis zu meiner Pensionierung am HZG in meiner Arbeitsgruppe weiterarbeiten kann und dass die Gesundheit mitmacht. Ansonsten bin ich glücklich mit meiner Tätigkeit und mit meinen KollegInnen. Die sind alle so toll, dass ich jeden Tag sehr gerne morgens zur Arbeit fahre. Wer hat schon so viel Glück und kann das immer von sich behaupten?
This summer I will have my 57th birthday. My wish is to stay with HZG and my colleagues until the end of my working period (retirement) and to stay healthy in between. Besides all I am very happy with my work and with my colleagues. They are so nice that I enjoy driving to work each single morning. Who has so much luck to have such a feeling?
Was ist Ihr persönliches Markenzeichen? / Do you have any personal distinctive mark?
Ich bin eigentlich immer fröhlich und lache gern. Mit mir kann man Pferde stehlen – oder Elefanten – Pinguine gehen auch 🙂
I am a happy person nearly all the time and enjoy laughing. You can steal horses with me – or elephants – penguins will fit also 🙂
