The summer is almost over. Like on the mainland we can see that by the leaves turning from green to yellow. We do not have trees here, but small other flowers and plants.
The geese in the village can be seen less and less. In the evening you can watch them flying formations. They are getting ready for their journey to the south.
The Arctic. The Arctic is a dessert. The summer was extremely dry. In the four month René, Thomas and I have been here now, it has only snowed a few time. Since the snow has disappeared we may have had six days of rain, or to be more precise, of drizzle.
Despite the extreme conditions the Arctic has a breathtaking diversity of plants and animals. A few of these impressions we would like to share with you. Therefore we have prepared a small slideshow with pictures taken by René and myself. I have tried to identify the species but there is no guarantee for the correctness. Enjoy the photos.
